Description
Pilot Hat Badge and Pocket Emblem Wings believed to be from Deutsche Aero LLoyd who merged with Junkers Luftverkher to form Duetsche Luft Hansa (DLH) in 1926 making this pre-1926 and avery very RARE
item from the early years of aviation. I have searched extensively and have not found another one. May be the only one to still exist though I would think there are a handful in private collections.
Pressed metal, the smaller one has plastic backing to either replace original or hold in the felt backing, not sure. The larger one has metal backing with discolored spots and two pins coming out. Pins not firm straight out but wobbly. Not messing with either backs.

Thanks to Jose for providing an article in Fall 2012
"Captain's Log - Journal of the Airliner International Association" page 43 -
"
Hector Cabezas of Frankfurt, Germany sent along images of these two wings from LUFT HANSA, the pre-World War II carrier. These were kiddie wings that Hector actually obtained as a child in the 1930s.
The wings are made of thin tin stock and are roughly the same size of today’s kiddie wings. Hector reports that the wings were sold as left over stock from the former German airline Aero-Lloyd and as children’s toys."
Article confirms that these are pre-1926 from Aero-Llyod though they were available and re purposed into the 30's. Wings offered here do not have the damage as seen on the 1st of the two wings in the article and also include backing.
