1936 Epiphone Electar Model M Lap Steel. Horseshoe Pick Up.
Early production Model M with horseshoe pickup. Original wiring harness. Good shape, some pick marks on the top, missing front knee pad, 2 white dots, a small piece of binding and the bumper plate on the end. 1 replaced bridge mounting screw. Original in case pocket.
Original Van Ghent tuners. Second button shaft is slightly bent, first has a changed string shaft and missing bushing.
Original case missing Electar badge but in decent shape.
Plays fine, tunes and holds tune no problem and sounds like it’s supposed to. Serial # 539. Jerry Byrd C6 tuning.
These are my go to for a pre-war steel sound and this one fits great. I found an 8 string version so I'm passing this one on.
