Description
Nice piece added to my living estate sale out of Dads music room. A vintage 1952 (serial Number X13193) National New Yorker lap steel.I profess no expertise in this field so I am listing my best knowledge and judgement. I have included a nice set of close up photos to show the condition of paint and other finish components. The body and electronic components all seem very solid and in fine working order. This guitar still has its' original amphenol male plug connector so I will include a female amphenol to male 1/4" adaptor. I won't change out the strings since everyone knows exactly what they want anyway. I cannot tell you when the original tuners were changed out to the 3 on a side Kluson Tuners, but they operate fine and are period relative. I believe it was done long ago considering the relative discoloration on them. Note also that one small black screw cap and the plexiglas bridge guard is missing. All in all what a beautiful instrument and sound to match. I am humble enough to know that if you are reading this, you can likely tell me more than I can tell you. I do know that this particular era and New Yorker model rank high on the desirability list for their sound and appearance. I believe this unit gets high marks in both depending on one's personal opinion of the Kluson tuner conversion. As always I include free domestic shipping and utilize the "Best Offer" format to best accomodate all buyer considerations and offers
