PRICE REDUCED ,000!! This is a gorgeous 34,000 mile two-owners-since-new 1959 Jaguar XK150 Fixed Head Coupe (FHC) that is an all-original preserved survivor. This Jaguar has its original paint, leather, carpet, chrome and is all numbers matching. It is now ready to be driven, shown and enjoyed by its next caretaker. According to the Jaguar Heritage Certificate, this XK150 was built on the 27 th of February 1959 and was dispatched to the US on the 6 th of April 1959. His first owner was Mr. Thompson, a well-regarded attorney from Greenwich, Connecticut. Mr. Thompson specifically desired the automatic transmission and the Jaguars perfect color combination of black exterior with red leather. He enjoyed the XK until his passing in 1974. His mechanic, Mr. Peter LaSorsa of Greenwich, acquired the Jaguar from Mr. Thompsons estate. As a mechanic, Mr. LaSorsa had limited financial resources requiring him to largely store the Jaguar. By June of 1991, Mr. LaSorsa had the engine completely rebuilt by the Jaguar specialists at Crow Engineering Jaguar Specialists in England. Crow Engineering had a Connecticut-based shop that performed the operations. The receipt states that the engine rebuild was paid for on June 18 ,1991 and that the Jaguar had accumulated 31,000 miles. By November of 1994, Mr. LaSorsa had the Jaguar appraised by Richard Koppelman of the Ferrari dealership in Greenwich confirming at that time that it had accumulated 32,000 miles. Peter has since passed, and we are pleased to offer this gorgeous survivor. The black livery is a gorgeous deep black lacquer that was applied by the factory in 1959. It largely has a mirror finish and has beautiful shine and luster. There are normal door dents and such, but it is unmistakably original and gorgeous. The chrome and stainless are all original and in very nice condition. The bumper overriders have little dings and there are normal imperfections here and there, but again, this is an example that attracts crowds with its honest patina. The wire wheels are finished in black with chromed Jaguar knockoffs and the tubes and tire all new. The red leather interior is all original. The red leather is soft and has the expected creases from age but is without tears. The original carpeting is in fairly nice condition. Mr. LaSorsa purchased new replacement carpeting which is included in the sale but not installed. We would not recommend replacing the original red wool carpeting as it is in beautiful original condition today. The gray wool broadcloth headliner is also original and without tears but with a small amount a staining near the rear window. The Blaupunkt am radio is in the dash and overall the dash is in terrific original condition with all the gauges working well. The engine compartment is in nice condition since the engine rebuild. The ceramic coated exhaust manifold is in nice condition. The 3.4-liter DOHC straight six has twin SU carburetors and engine performs very well with 3,500 miles accumulated since its rebuild. This is an all numbers matching example. Recent upgrades include a stainless-steel exhaust, stainless-steel gas tank, rebuilt carburetors, rebuilt four-wheel disc brakes and new tubes and tires. The chassis is in great condition and the Jaguar tracks very straight and solid on the road. The XK definitely drives as a low mileage original example. Included in the sale are two shop manuals, an incredibly preserved original owner's manual with supplements for dealers and the automatic transmission maintenance material. Also included is the Jaguar Heritage Certificate and some historical documentation. Several of the original tools are included as well as the spare. The NADA Value for this 1959 Jaguar XK150 FHC is ,140 and the Hagerty No. 2 Value is ,000. We have this priced well. For more information and details, please call, text or email Harry Clark at 1.602.245.7200 or . The Jaguar is in our showroom in Phoenix.
