    Description

Four old Steno notebooks, three from the 1950's and one from approximately the 1970's.
The red-trimmed one is a Universal Shorthand Notebook, and the most interesting because it has office etiquette advice for career girls printed on the covers; two are 1956 National "500" notebooks, with frequently misspelled words on the covers; and the last one is a more recent Wilson-Jones, with a wood grain theme that suggests the 1970's.
    Condition:
Light to moderate wear.  The Universal has some discoloration on the front cover, and some of the writing inside the cover ("Career Girls Guide to Office Etiquette") is blurred but still decipherable.  Don't know the cause; sweaty hand maybe. One National also has a faint stain on the front cover.  Some pages are gone from all four, with the Universal being the skinniest; the paper is unmarked and in good condition.
