This card has been  modified professionally to function the same as a MAC card.
GTX 645 OEM card uses firmware labeled GT 640 but it functions as a GTX 645 card because that is what it is.
It is the fastest Mac card sold on Ebay under the label GT 640 for Mac . It uses GDR5 memory while most of the others use GDR3 which makes them much slower. It's a great little card if you need Apple Boot Screen on your Mac. It does not require any additional power since it draws about 65 watts of power. It is faster than Radeon HD 5770 but unlike HD 5770 it supports Metal under OS X Mojave and Catalina
It uses only one slot so you can pair it with a card that does not display Apple boot screen which gives you a wider choice of graphic cards that are available for Mac OS X.

If you need a Mac Pro graphic card that displays Apple Boot Screen this is the good performing card that is supported with Apple Mac OS X drivers present within all of the MAC OS X versions since 10.8, including 10.14 Mojave and 10.15 Catalina
All of the ports on the card are functional and display Apple Boot screen.
It works inside of Mac Pro (2008)3,1  (2009)4,1  and (2010-2012) 5,1.
It does not work in Mac Pro 1,1 and 2,1
Apple provides drivers for this card as part of OS X  in versions 10.8, 10.9, 10.10, 10.11, 10.12, 10.13 and 10.14 (MOJAVE) and 10.15 Catalina
This GT 640 card supports METAL required in OS X 10.14 Mojave and 10.15 Catalina
The card also works with NVIDIA GEFORCE WEB  drivers present for OS X up to High Sierra 10.13.6
There are no WEB drivers yet for OS X 10.14 Mojave or 10.15 Catalina
