    Description

    (RGK-11081)
    Shifter cable SET
    (2 cables)
for older CW-11 Chuck Wagons, with a connection adaptor for each one
(not in photo, as we don't have permission from that vendor to use their picture)
that will change the cable from the "J" connector to a lug connector.  This allows the 2-11082 cable to be substituted for the discontinued 11081 cable that was part of the 11080 assembly on older vehicles,
serial number 15244 and lower.  While we have not tried this,
numerous customers have done so successfully
;  one gave us the plan.  Basic instructions with photographs will be included, but we are unable to provide technical assistance beyond that.
Does not fit any model except the early Chuck Wagon.  It does NOT replace the very early models that used a single "push-pull" cable.
This part has been increased in price, due to the shortage.  If you wait a few months, it should come back down.
This is for Chuck Wagon serial # 15244 and older with a loop on the end that connects to the shifting mechanism in the rear.
The serial number is NOT the VIN ... it's the serial number on the metal tag on the rear frame, under the dump bed, just behind the bed release lever.  (View the cable ... the serial numbers are provided by the manufacturer, but they may be a few numbers off.)
Please consult your manual as we do not allow returns.  Texas law considers the product as "used" after it has been delivered to the customer, and it's illegal for us to re-sell it.
How do you know when your 11081 2-11082  2-11018 16437 14456 shifter cables need to be replaced?
If it’s difficult to shift gears (the shifter lever is hard to push and/or it takes a few seconds for it to change directions), your cables are probably sticking.
(They usually start binding and need to be replaced every year or two, which is why they should be replaced in pairs.)
While we never recommend modifications and cannot officially endorse this conversion, it’s silly to discard a Chuck Wagon because of lack of a cable.  Maintenance should only be performed by a qualified technician, 18 years of age or older.  Perform this mod at your own risk, as we assume no liability.
