    Description

    Interphase 04220 VME Board
For sale- an Interphase VME Board as pictured.
I really had to search this thing for the Interphase name, as you can see the removal ears which might ordinarily have the company name and model number on them have been switched out for MODCOMP and SCSI.
Which is kind of weird because I have another board listed also marked as MODCOMP SCSI which is a Motorola board, and I had simply assumed that all the MODCOMP SCSI boards would be the same.
But I finally noticed the other one didn’t have any connections on the front and obviously this one has an opening for a standard ribbon cable.
The first thing that struck me when I pulled this out of the rack is that it has not one but two Motorola CPU chips as pictured.
The larger one is a 51-W6280B01 which I couldn’t really find anything on other than it appears to be of value for gold content.
The smaller one is an MC68EC030RP25B, a 25MHz processor, part of the 68030 family.
So I don’t know if this would be considered a CPU card or a SCSI controller card.
    You tell me.
So OK, I figured out it was an Interphase product, but the model number isn’t clear to me.
On the top component side the plug in is marked H04220-002, REVB06.
On the flip/solder side the connector is marked CC04220-0430, REV11.
To add to the confusion the board itself is marked PB04220-000, REVB but I would assume that to be the board itself, not the finished product.
Never the less we do see that 04220 is common to all three.
Hopefully that tells you what you need to know.
Untested, sold as is, and NO warranty is offered.
HOWEVER, IF you pay the asking price and it has a problem that you cannot live with within 14 days of receipt you may return it.
Returns are ONLY allowed on Buy It Now purchases
    .
Accepted Best Offers are strictly an as is sale, no returns allowed.
Return would be for a refund of the purchase price, not including shipping costs.
Just so that we are clear on that, this is an item that has not been thoroughly tested.
As such it may work fine or it may have problems, so any purchase entails a certain amount of risk.
IF you Buy It Now your risk is limited to the shipping cost in both directions.
If you submit an offer you do so knowing you cannot return it.
In either case you need to decide if the risk level is acceptable to you, and if not you need to pass on this particular item.
Please check out my other listings for more interesting lab, test and optical equipment, including a variety of other VME boards and racks.  Coming soon, another version of the Interphase board with a daughter board/additional I/O port.
