Description
1948 National New Yorker Lap Steel.Procured from the original owner's estate.
Son told me his dad bought it for his Mom when they got married after WWII.
She played it through the years in church and family functions.
This is a fine example of a National New Yorker in very good condition with over all great appearance and performance
Condition & Specs
- The serial Number reflects the year of production.
- 6 String, 23" scale, with roman numeral fret markers
- Black & white Art Deco design
- One pickup with volume and tone controls.
- Slide resistant felt backing on back.
- Tuners replaced with good quality ones by owner.
- Comes with a Old style MCM1 phone connector cord.
- No case included.
- The guitar functions well with no issues.
- All the electronics are in good condition.
- Has tight checking throughout the guitar's finish... Mostly subtle but there.
- Minor chips and dings on some0 edges with an overall decent appearance
- Very Good condition for being 73 years old.
- The jack input is the old style phono/microphone type. A Switchcraft model 332AX connecter will let you switch to a standard 1/4" cord if desired.
