My birdhouses are made from natural, untreated cedar. The oils in cedar make it resistant to rot and insect damage. It is also resistant to temperature and weather conditions. Although it will turn gray over time, it does not need to be painted or stained.
My cedar is unfinished from the mill. It will have knots, bends, saw marks and other characteristics of this type of wood. Quality of construction is not compromised by this, and my birdhouses will give years of beauty to your property, and benefit to the birds, also.
