The Grand Kabuki Troupe of Osaka and Keiko Fujii`s Japanese jazz dance company are among the many artists from that country who will participate in the Japan Festival, a month-long offering of more than two dozen performances and exhibitions to be held throughout June in Chicago.
The events, lectures, concerts and exhibitions are part of a cultural exchange program to be presented by the Consulate General of Japan of Chicago, the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Chicago, the Japan America Society of Chicago, the State of Illinois and the city. Similar festivals have been held in New York, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C.
