Vintage Magnatone Lap Steel Guitar & Matching Varsity Amplifier Blue MOTS
This is an original - 40's Vintage - Magnatone Lapsteel and Amplifier SET, with the auction to include sale of both items, as pictured. It was my good fortune to find this near-perfect set about 20 years whereby it has since seen very little use, and only for home entertainment purposes. (I fell in love with Hawaiian music with my first trip to the islands, not coincidently JUST prior to purchasing this beautiful pair). As pictured, both items are original and stock, with the amp not-yet-having-been updated with a grounded power cord. As is visible in the photos, all of the MOP (aka Mother Of Toilet Seat) covering and Chrome appointments are in exceptional condition, though the 'Palm Tree Image' flocking of the amplifier grill has suffered some, which is, sadly, fairly common. Of note is the ORIGINAL TWEED case with cool Clear Acrylic Handle! In addition to the items pictured, I will include a Dunlop Steel and matching braided cloth instrument cable with the sale. You can be sliding as soon as you open the box and plug in. (tune first!)
My preference is to ship via UPS or FED EX for items of this type to utilize their tracking system, and inclusive, minimal insurance, though item WILL BE insured for FULL PURCHASE AMOUNT for (mutual) protection against third party loss or damage. That said, Item will be PROPERLY packaged. Buyer pays ACTUAL shipping costs for all items, as pictured.
I am choosing to list this as a 'no reserve' auction, with a 'suggested' starting price of $.99, based on other listings/auctions of similar items.
