Hawaiian Electric Guitar is a rare but very memorable subspecies of guitar. They began to be produced at the turn of the 50-60's at the Moscow Experimental Factory of Musical Instruments (MEFMI). Even though such guitars have been produced for 10 years, they are quite difficult to find on the second-hand market. And in this case, the guitar is even in excellent condition along with the original case.
The deck is made of a single piece of mahogany and has a length of 80 cm, a width at the base of about 19 cm and a board thickness of 3 cm. This instrument weighs more than 2 kg, and together with the case about 5 kg. The length of the beaker is 580 mm. The standard action for this guitar is: EAEA-C # -E. The wood of the deck is varnished and has a very beautiful structure. The bridge and the guitar pickup are closed with a transparent plexiglass lid. Sound pickup closed type, under a brass cover. It is not original, but its characteristics as much as possible repeat the characteristics of the native, so the instrument has not lost the individuality of its sound. The string holder is screwed to the deck with three screws. The sills, top and bottom, are made of ebony (apparently painted) and strips of steel wire. The "overlay" of the tool is made of a large piece of white plastic and marked with black paint, poured into the recess in the plastic. The plastic cover is tightly glued to the deck. A small sample for the timbre block is made on the back of the deck. It is closed by a plastic cover fastened by four screws, The covers of pegs are fastened by the same. The guitar case is probably made of plywood, covered with brown dermantine on the outside and velor on the inside.
