The Notifier FDX-551R Series are analogue addressable, low profile Thermal smoke sensors designed for use with any NOTIFIER protocol fire alarm control panel. Also, the sensors measure thermal levels caused by fire and report the analogue value of the thermal measurement to the control panel. Besides, the use of analogue information provides significant benefits to the end-user, installer and serviceman in ways that are not possible with a conventional type system.
In general, these analogue addressable sensors enable the control panel to quickly provide the operator with a pinpoint description of the location of a fire in its early stages. In addition, the Notifier FDX-551R Series plug-in Thermal sensors use a common base to simplify installation, service, and maintenance. Furthermore, a special tool allows maintenance personnel to plug in and remove detectors without using a ladder. Mounting hardware together with installation instructions are provided with each device.
